Our team Compensation Guide
🗒️ The biggest mistakes we make when Placing people:
#1 - Putting product users and sharers on your front line:
When you put product users or shares on your front line & build underneath, you take away your time freedom. You’re either dragging/pushing the person along or wanting the business more than they do. You only want committed AND capable (CC) builders to be your qualifiers (ideally your qualifiers are on your front line).
#2 - Placing family (who aren’t CCs) on your front line:
You can’t hold your family accountable! You don’t want to bring that stress & pressure into your relationships. You don’t want to create a situation where they think doTERRA is more important than your relationship with them.
#3 - Not clustering by location:
Place people where they will be supported by the right CC leader under you.
#4 - Not placing by relationships:
Keep people together by relationships as much as you can so that people who normally interact together also work together. Placing by relationships always trumps location.
🗒️ How to fix Placement problems:
#1 - Form a new leg:
It’s often much easier to give birth than to raise someone from the dead! We avoid this because it was painful to build legs originally when we did it wrong. But NOW that we know how to do it correctly, it’s much easier!
#2 - Place a new CC under an existing leg:
Your goal is to have all your qualifiers be CCs so there may be times when it makes sense to place a CC qualifier into an existing leg (& keep the enrollment)
#3 - Account Transfer:
If you have someone that no longer wants to build, they can transfer out of that spot & become a customer instead. Before you transfer someone else into that spot - TEST THEM.
ie) Can they setup 3 builder prospect calls this week?
Here’s the form both people need to sign
#4 - Enrollership change
#5 - Placement swap
#6 - Terminate accounts
#7 - Exceptions committee. Note - they always say no to:
A move that makes you a new rank
A move that fills in Power of 3
A move over 1,000 OV
Always let your downline turn in their own exceptions. Otherwise it will count as one of yours (& they seem to get stingy with them after 3.)
