Your contact list is the single most important thing for your business.

Always be adding to your Contact List. It is a tool that should constantly be growing. It feeds your business. This is fun! Always be making new friends & meeting new people. Sometimes you will be reaching out directly to invite. But don’t make “contacting” always all about the business or people will feel used. Have a genuine desire to get to know people, & your ability to help them with oils will naturally come around.

 ✏️Resources For You:

👉 Memory Jogger. Use this to help you remember all the people you know. I promise this is more than you might initially think! Everyone knows at LEAST 100 people. Don’t forget to check your text history on your phone & also your Facebook/Instagram friend list.

👉 Contact Experience Tracker. Follow the instructions to create your own virtual copy you can fill in. Make sure to start with the Memory Jogger above … it will help you fill this in. You can download the Google Sheets app so you can even fill in contacts on the go. I you’d rather use a printable version you can find that here. Write as many names as you can think of into your spreadsheet. This is list you will continually add to throughout your business for years to come.

You’re going to be ranking the names on your list according to a 7-star rating system. The get a star for each of the following:

  1. Female

  2. Has a money / time / purpose need

  3. Age 30-55

  4. Interested in natural things

  5. Has business or sales experience

  6. Is influential (people listen to them)

  7. Has a supportive spouse

Then you’ll decide which form of contacting fits best for each person: in-person, phone call, text, email, or social media. Tip: If using social media, try sending a VOICE memo through DM on Facebook or Instagram instead of just text messaging … it’s much more personal & people can hear the tone of your voice!

Last of all you’ll decide whether each contact would respond better to a product approach or a business approach.

Scripts:

Scripts are simply a starting point. Once you’re comfortable, you can deviate from them. Make sure what you’re saying is in your own voice … that the words sound like how you actually speak to friends. The more you sound like yourself, the move genuinely you’ll be able to connect with people.

Social Media Option:

FOR APPROACHING SOMEONE ABOUT THE PRODUCTS

In-Person or Phone Call Option { if you know their ailment }:
I’ve been thinking about you. I’ve had some pretty amazing experiences with essential oils...(talk about a simple but powerful personal testimonial) and...(other people’s experiences). I thought about...(their own health challenges or their families health challenges) I’d love to give you a free sample of essential oils for you to try, they’re safer, cheaper & many times more effective than medication. I think you’ll also have a great experience. Are you going to be around tomorrow for me to (drop it off/give it) to you?

I’ve been thinking about you & wanted to let you know that I do the most amazing thing, I sell Essential Oils. They’re safer, cheaper & more effective than other things we have a tendency to use. Essential oils don’t have the side effects or addictions that many medications have. I’ve had some pretty amazing experiences with essential oils. They’ve totally changed my family’s health...(talk about an experience that you have had and a member of your family). Sharing essential oils with others has also changed my life financially. So many people are interested in using natural alternatives. I’m looking for someone that I can put my time, my talents & resources into that could also share the power of essential oils with others & I thought about you... Are you familiar with essential oils?

FOR APPROACHING SOMEONE YOU HAVEN’T TALKED TO IN AWHILE

Your friend will probably be so excited you took the time to all. The last thing you want is for them to feel used. You’re excited to offer them something because you love them. But if you have a great conversation catching up, & then at the end of the call you bring up a business opportunity - that doesn’t feel good. Instead, start the conversation with something like this:

“It’s been such a long time & I specifically have something that I wanted to call you about but first tell me what’s going on with your family”.

And then talk for as long as it feels comfortable. After a while the person you called will usually say:

“So tell me what you were calling about”.
And if you end up running out of time & have to get off the phone usually the person that you called will say “You had something that you wanted to tell me”.

Then you simply answer:

“It was so great talking with you again. I can call you tomorrow & tell you about why I wanted to call”.

Then ask them when is best to reach out the next day & don’t forget to follow up.

Tips:

👉 Always follow-up when you said you would. This builds trust with your customer & yourself.

👉 44% of people never reconnect with a contact.

👉 80% of sales are made after at least 5 connections + are made by only 10% of leaders.

👉 Your confidence in yourself affects how you connect with others. Your contact wants to be guided by someone who is confident in helping them … they want your help.

👉 When you get that ‘feeling’ you should reach out to someone … follow it as soon as possible.
