Chocolate Heath Cake (a.k.a. “Better Than Sex Cake”)

Untitled design.png

I was first served this cake at a baby shower in Louisville, Kentucky…asked for the recipe on the spot. It’s super easy to make and is requested as the birthday cake of choice for almost every birthday in our home. Our kids didn’t learn the true name of the cake until they were much older. For a very long time it was simply known as Heath Cake. ;) This cake tastes the best when allowed to sit overnight in the refrigerator in order to properly soak up all the gooey goodness you’ve poured over the top.

1 box chocolate cake mix (I get the fudgy kind with pudding in the mix)
1 can sweetened condensed milk
1 jar caramel or topping
1 container Cool Whip (you decide small or large size)
3 Heath bars

Bake chocolate cake in 13x9 pan; poke holes in it with the end of a wooden spoon (all over). Pour sweetened condensed milk & butterscotch topping: COOL. Top with cool whip or whipped cream. Sprinkle with mashed up Heath bars.
