Lemon is the top-selling dōTERRA essential oil and has multiple benefits & uses. It’s a powerful cleansing agent that purifies the air, disinfects surfaces, & can be used as a non-toxic cleaner throughout the home. Taken internally, Lemon provides cleansing and digestive benefits, can soothe an irritated throat, & supports healthy respiratory function.
Diffuse with Lavender + Peppermint when your body is reacting to the environment.
Neutralize odors in the air by diffusing lemon on its own.
Dissolves anything sticky! Adhesives, gum, tree sap you name it! Just apply a drop directly on.
Dry up a runny nose - apply 1 drop of lemon to the bridge of nose & deeply inhale.
Add 2 drops to a large glass of water for the cleansing effects of the limonene in lemon.

An Original All-Purpose Cleaner. Mix 5-6 drops Lemon essential oil with water and vinegar in a spray bottle to cleanse and purify surfaces. Use to clean kitchen counters and stainless steel appliances. For stainless steel, mix Lemon essential oil with olive oil for best results.
Preserve cut fruit: use Lemon essential oil in a spray to keep your cut fruit fresh until serving.
Refresh Bad Smelling Washcloths. When your kitchen washcloths smell foul and could use a boost, add Lemon oil to your detergent, soak overnight, wash, dry & your kitchen will smell so much better!
Nourish Your Leathers & Furniture. Preserve & prevent leather from splitting with a Lemon soaked cloth. Also, a few drops of Lemon essential oil combined with a few drops to olive oil makes a great furniture polish.
‘Lemonize’ Your Laundry. Instead of dryer sheets, try adding a few drops to a damp washcloth or dryer balls in the dryer with your laundry. Be sure to set the dryer to a low temperature cycle as high heat will lessen the effects of the oil.
Diffusing this oil will help promote positive + optimistic feelings, & help eliminate fish odors after cooking. Also, put 2 drops on a cotton ball & place it in the car to help eliminate odors.
Add 1 drop to 1 tbsp coconut oil for oil-pulling in the morning (helps cleanse & whiten teeth).
Combine with white vinegar for a quick, easy + clean glass cleaner.
Clean your produce! Fill a bowl with water & add 2-3 drops of lemon oil and soak your produce for a couple of hours to remove any dirt + residue.
Add a drop to your green smoothie to tone down the ‘green’ taste + improve the flavor.

Lavender has been used & cherished for centuries for its unmistakable aroma & many therapeutic benefits. Lavender is frequently used to help soothe skin irritations & help skin recover quickly. It’s also been shown to help reduce muscle tension. Inhaling Lavender promotes relaxation & a restful night’s sleep, making it an ideal oil to diffuse at bedtime & when stress levels are high.
Take A Lavender Bath: Drop about 4 drops of lavender essential oil along with 1 cup Epsom salts into your bath water for an ultra-relaxing experience.
Head To Toe Rest! After a hard workout or a long day on your feet, rub diluted Lavender along with Lemongrass on your legs & feet.
Add 4-5 drops of Lavender to your vinegar cleaning mixture for a more bearable scent.
Quick Skin Fix: Mix three parts Fractionated Coconut Oil with one part Lavender essential oil in a small spray bottle or roll on to help clear up skin irritation associated with chafing. Great for little ones!
Bring on the ZZZ’s. Rub on the bottoms of the feet, or add 2-3 drops in your diffuser, for a more restful sleep.
Enjoy A Fresh And Clean Mattress. Sprinkle a mixture of 1 cup baking soda & 10 drops of lavender essential oil over your mattress. Allow the mixture to sit for at least one hour then use the vacuum hose to clean it up. You can combine with drops of Eucalyptus, Peppermint, Clove, or Rosemary as well.
Ouch! That’s Hot! The next time someone doesn’t realize the iron or pan is still hot; apply Lavender oil to the affected area to soothe skin irritation, reduce redness & ease swelling.
The Oatmeal Secret. Fill a baby food jar with oatmeal, and add 5-8 drops of Lavender oil.
When it’s time to wash your face, add water and it becomes an excellent natural scrub! A little goes a long way.

Melaleuca (also known as Tea Tree) can be used to cleanse & purify the skin & nails, & to promote a clear, healthy complexion, & is frequently used on minor skin irritations to soothe the skin & help it recover quickly. Taken internally, it can enhance immunity when seasonal threats are high.
Melaleuca/Tea Tree can also be used on surfaces throughout the home to protect against environmental threats.
Say Goodbye To Razor Burn! Apply after shaving to prevent any skin irritation. You can also mix Melaleuca with a bottle of fractionated coconut oil for a great facial moisturizer. Consider also mixing with Lavender or Frankincense for added benefit.

For When Soap Won’t Do It. Melaleuca is great for removing permanent marker from skin.
Baby Bottom Remedy. Mix with Fractionated Coconut Oil, Lavender, & Frankincense to make a diaper paste for baby’s irritated skin.
Too Much Fun In The Sun? Apply to the skin during your family vacation or after a long day in the sun.
