Caramel Brownies

These come together super quick due to a reliance on boxed mix and store-bought caramels.

1 pkg. Kraft caramels
1 C. walnuts, chopped
1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
3/4 C. margarine
2/3 C. evaporated milk.
6 oz. semi-sweet chocolate chips

Combine 1 pkg. caramels & 1/3 C. evaporated milk in top of double-boiler, stirring constantly until melted. Set aside.

Combine 1 pkg. cake mix, 3/4 C. melted butter, 1 C. walnuts, & 1/3 C. canned milk.
Stir by hand until dough holds together. Press half into greased & floured 9x13 pan.
Bake at 350 for 6 minutes. Remove from oven. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

Spread caramel mixture over top (don't touch sides) of chocolate.

Bake 15-18 minutes longer, cool slightly. Refrigerate.
