Love is in the air! But let's be real—between school runs, meal preps, and the never-ending laundry monster, who has time for romance?

Did you know that certain scents can actually help boost your mood and even make you feel more connected to others? It's like magic, but it's called aromatherapy. When you inhale pure essential oils, and they HAVE TO BE TOTALLY PURE to have an effect (doTERRA's are) those tiny scent molecules travel through your nose to your brain's emotional center, the amygdala, influencing your feelings. For example, ylang ylang (pronounced "ee-lang ee-lang") is known as an aphrodisiac—a fancy word for something that makes you feel more loving and romantic. Its sweet, floral scent can help reduce stress and uplift your mood, making it easier to feel affectionate and connected. Check this out

You can’t pour from an empty cup…here’s how you can take better care of YOU.

Ever feel like you're juggling a million things and forget to take care of yourself? I get it—being a mom is a full-time job! But here's the thing: taking a moment for self-care isn't just a luxury; it's essential for your well-being.

Did you know that certain essential oils can actually help you feel more relaxed and connected? It's like giving your body a little hug from the inside out. Let's dive into some oils that can help you feel your best.

My favorite way to use the following oils for self-care?

  • diffusing them

  • adding to an epsom salt bath for a luxurious soak

  • putting one drop in my hands, rubbing them together, then cupping my hands over my nose and mouth - breathing in deeply for at least 30 seconds

  • applying a drop on my pulse points as a “pure”fume

Any of those work great - and you'll discover others. Here are some great oils to start with:

Ylang Ylang

This sweet, floral aroma is cherished for its calming properties. Research indicates that ylang ylang oil can help support healthy blood pressure and promote relaxation. In some cultures, it's even used to enhance feelings of euphoria and support any anxious feelings having to do with intimacy. You'll notice that when I do diffuser recipes having to do with love or relationships, Ylang Ylang is a staple. It smells amazing, and the benefits surrounding relationships are so good!

Rose Touch

The rich, romantic scent of rose isn't just delightful; it has been observed to promote relaxation and support anxious feelings. Some studies suggest that rose oil can help support stress and promote a sense of well-being. I frequently roll this on along with my Jasmine Touch - the two together are so beautiful! I have a ton of both jasmine and roses planted around my home because I love the smell so much! But with these “Touch” rollers, I can take them with me wherever I go.

doTERRA Passion blend

When I first saw the name on this, I jumped too quickly to the obvious definition of the word “passion”. But although this also good for THAT, it is also about just having a passion or zest for life. It really is such an awesome blend, and one of my favorites. This spicy-sweet mix is designed to ignite feelings of excitement and passion. Many people find that the combination of oils like cardamom, cinnamon, and ginger can invigorate the senses and inspire creativity. I personally LOVE combining 1 drop of Passion with 1 drop of Grapefruit as my favorite perfume by far!

doTERRA Balance blend

Think of this as your grounding buddy. With oils like spruce, frankincense, and blue tansy, it aims to create a sense of calm and well-being. Frankincense, for instance, has been studied for its potential to reduce stress and anxious feelings. Sometimes when I think of woodsy oils, I think of them as being more “manly” smelling. Not so with the Balance blend - I love this smell for me. It's not just for the boys. There's something about this specific blend that just leaves me wanting more. If you want to bump it up a notch, I love combining this with the doterra Serenity blend!

Shared in the order you would use them:

1.  DIFFUSE

Set the mood by diffusing oils that enhance Libido. Try Passion, Sandalwood, Cinnamon, Whisper or a combo of any of these oils. I shared some great diffuser recipes last week that would be perfect.

You can also create a Sensual Sheet Spray:

  • 10 drops Bergamot

  • 10 drops Sandalwood

  • 3 drops Lavender

  • 3 drops Wild Orange

  • 2 drops Ylang Ylang

  • 2 oz. spray bottle

Combine all oils in bottle and add water. Enjoy!

2.  MASSAGE

Try one of the massage blends I've shared (there were some great ones last week). If you're the husband, take time to spoil her for a few minutes and let the oils do the job of relaxing everyone. Then at the right moment, do step 3. If you're the wife reading this, let your husband know he'll find this step super helpful😉

3.  LUBE

Seriously girls. The ingredients in the stuff from the store are atrocious. And our mucous membranes absorb it directly into our bloodstream. We need cleaner products, and these are great.

Three choices here and all are fantastic to help everyone have a great time.

Option 1: Beautiful Spray. Convenient and effective! 

Option 2: Yarrow Pom Serum + 1 drop of Geranium. Do not use more than 1 drop! Yarrow Pom Serum was designed to lighten, tighten, and brighten the skin and is wonderful as a moisturizer but it shines in the bedroom too!

Option 3: Yarrow Pom Serum + 1 drop of Bergamot. Makes your kaboom, kaboomier.
