This dish is to die for…probably my kid’s most requested dish. This is what they request for birthday dinners. It’s what we take to people’s homes when they have a baby. It goes to potlucks. And everyone ALWAYS wants the recipe.
Read MoreThis is one of our favorite McOmber pasta recipes…garlicky cheesy pasta with sausage, roasted red bell peppers, italian sausage, and lots of salty parmesan. We love serving it for guests because it feeds a crowd easily, and is so yummy!
Read MoreThis is a McOmber family favorite we love making for company! It’s SO good but also easy to make!
Read MoreThese fajitas are hands off since you just throw everything in the slow cooker in the morning & it’s ready by dinner. I serve tortillas for the rest of my family, but I personally love the freshness of serving this over a quick salad.
Read MoreMy kids request this all the time. This spicy barbecue pork recipe cooks up an ample amount of sauce - a delicious bonus for barbecue sauce lovers. Use it for dripping over a sandwich, dipping fries, dressing baked potatoes (our family's personal favorite!), or over a yummy green salad.
Read MoreThis elevates the humble cheese sandwich to gourmet heights. Our family loves it! It's from a restaurant called Kona Bistro. How spicy it is depends on how much of the sauce you spread on the bread. If you have a panini press, it really works well with this recipe, but you can also just do it in a pan on the stove or directly on the grill.
Read MoreOur family loves to have this dish at Thanksgiving! The bonus? It's a super-easy side dish that doesn't require oven space and stays warm in the crock pot until ready to serve. It's almost like a dessert! Super yummy!!
Read MoreThe combo of this, served with the Cream of Cheddar Soup in the soup section…like YUM! McOmber fave for sure.
Read MoreFrom the Barefoot Contessa. This is a chunky, heavenly guacamole…filled with not just avocados, but tomatoes, lemon, red onion, cilantro, garlic, and just the right amount of kick. It’s a favorite!
Read MoreI first had this when I was invited over to dinner at Mark’s family’s house when we first started dating. His mom made this, and I think I could have licked the bowl clean. I didn’t…but I could have. Pretty sure my kids have actually cleaned the bowl out pretty well when we’ve made this. Only 3 ingredients…simple and yummy!
Read MoreI think we had this at every get together in high school. I remember so many all-nighter get togethers with girlfriends where we ate this and talked about boys until the early morning hours. This dip is the “OG” basic that never gets old. So good.
Read MoreI had this at a get together when we were living in Houston, Texas. I took one bite and HAD to track down the person who had made it. She shared the recipe with me, which I quickly scribbled down. It came from a little spiral bound community cookbook she had…I have no idea who the author was. But I can tell you that this dip is IN.CRED.I.BLE. It has SO much flavor. It’s great on crackers or veggies. You can also serve it on baked potatoes. The jalapenos give it a little zip, but not too much. Just try it. There’s no way I can do it justice so you just have to taste.
Read MoreFrom the McOmber “Mom’s Pies & Goodies” Bakery – Yum!! We loved visiting Mark’s parents when they were running this bakery…so many fabulous things to eat, and this bread was a FAVE!
Read MoreThis bread is absolutely fabulous and incredibly fast and easy. It will disappear quickly! I remember when I was pregnant and nauseous all the time, this was sometimes all that sounded good when I was feeling sick. I CRAVED it. And you will too after you try it!
Read MoreThis is the classic, pull-apart, gooey yumminess I remember from when I was young….soooo good!
Read MoreI’ve heard them called “German Pancakes” by some, but we grew up with them being called “Dutch Babies”. Whatever you call them, double the recipe. They puff up super big in the oven, and then fall once you take them out…so we always needed two pans. 😉
Read MoreEveryone will love this! It's very rich, so it goes a long way. This recipe is from Paula Deen (for any other Food Network junkies out there).
Read MoreAnother great Rachael Ray recipe! Pour pina coladas into glasses on top of the strawberry puree. The puree will run up through the pina coladas, creating a lava flow effect.
Read MoreCook in crockpot, ladle into individual mugs, and dollop with whipped cream; sprinkle with cinnamon. Drizzle with additional caramel topping. So decadent!
